It is designed for individuals and small private networks (family, friends, co-authors) who want a personal, chronological record of shared experiences rather than a public broadcast feed.
The core problem Cap-it solves: existing social platforms prioritize algorithmic discovery and public engagement, while personal memories get scattered across camera rolls, messaging apps, and cloud drives. Cap-it gives every user a single, private-by-default timeline with granular audience control. Nothing is public unless the user chooses to make it public.
The app also includes optional social collaboration: friends, family members, and co-authors can be added through a mutual-acceptance flow, and each relationship unlocks a distinct visibility tier. A ten-level progression system rewards engagement with cosmetic unlocks and higher-tier visual treatments, but all core features — capturing moments, creating storybooks, sending messages, and managing privacy — are available at Level 2, the level of the demo account provided.
